The skirtQueen Letizia wore a velvet floor length skirt featuring side fabric wrapped buttons on a satin band that runs along the skirt. The skirt was custom made for her by her favorite designer Felipe Varela.
She paired the maxi skirt with a Hugo Boss off-white silk satin silk shirt with two layered standup collar decorated with fabric buttons, and a pair of velvet court shoes matching the color of her skirt.

The gown was designed by fashion designer of Russia Origin Oleg Cassini. who would become her official designer for the next three years.
