A dove grey coat / coat dress featuring a funnel neck, concealed front fastening, structured shoulders, side slit pockets, rear vent and three-quarter length sleeves custom made by Alexander McQueen.
The coat silhouette is comparable to the rose Funnel Neck Coat from an earlier Alexander McQueen collection which also has a funnel neck, concealed front fastening, structured shoulders, cropped sleeves, inset pockets to the sides, a rear vent and a straight hem.
The coat is made from a acetate/rayon blend and originally retailed for about US$2,800.

Kate Middleton wore the Alexander McQueen coat with a pair of L.K. Bennett 'Harper' suede court shoes which has a 4.5 inch heel with a concealed platform(US$345).

And on her head, she wore a color matching Jane Taylor hat/fascinator, the ‘Lupin’ velour felt teardrop beret.

The Duchess of Cambridge carried a modified Alexander McQueen suede clutch on her hand.

Side note
It is noted that Kate Middleton has worn another coat of almost identical silhouette a few years before her debut of the Alexander McQueen funnel neck coat. The side wool coat was in dark aubergine/eggplant color, and made of wool. It is said to be made by an independent tailor.
